Thuy, from Vietnam, and Giorgio, from Italy, met in 2016 in Syracuse University. They soon found to have common interests in sustainability, health, food and entrepreneurship.
After few months of knowing each other, they decided to put their passions at work, with the idea of creating a better version of non-dairy milk that would be attractive even to people who never considered drinking plant-based milk.
The result, they thought, would be a happier Earth, happier cows and healthier people.
Thuy managed to obtain a secret family recipe of traditional Vietnamese peanut milk. They spent the next few months in the kitchen experimenting and tweaking those recipes and having people all-over campus to try it.
The feedback they received was phenomenal, as more and more people started asking when they would be able to buy their amazing peanut milk.
This is when Thuy and Giorgio realized that they had a great opportunity. They wanted to redefine the way people think about vegan food and about business.
Their idea is that vegan food needs to evolve to include foods that are more tasty, nutritious and natural. And businesses also have to evolve, to become creators of positive impact on communities and on the environment.
